Istanbul Sociology and Anthropology Congress

Oke, so I have been extremely lazy this month and I did not write anything new for quite some time. I have been lazy writing on my blog, but I have been very occupied in other areas. For instance, I have been in Istanbul, between 7 and 11 July, for an international sociology congress organized by AISLF. Here you have more details if anyone is interested: http://w3.aislf.univ-tlse2.fr/spip/index.php.

I went because I had a communication, but this is not what I want to show you. I just want to post some pictures with little comments, just as I used you already regarding Bucharest.

Sociologists socializing… Socialization as art… :)

The congress has been really useful, interesting and the organization magnificent. I was always confronted with two feelings: holiday disposition, as being summer and extremely hot, and the feeling of duty, meaning that I had to do a good job and a great communication. Also, the Turkish experience has been a little too much, from all points of view: politics, social life, urban architecture, commerce. But this is another story. Just to end by saying that the congress was an opportunity to meet really great and intelligent sociologists, famous names in the field. But also the opportunity of meeting people who research related subjects and think things in the same way as I do. :) That’s a nice feeling.
